This piece attempts to build an image of a figure while weaving back and forth between a recognizable representation of a figure and the abstract composition that underlies the image. The process of developing this image involved building a compelling abstract composition and slowly finding a figure through those lines and colours. I'm interested in pulling an image as far from being recognizable as possible and exploring the point before the image collapses into abstraction.
