This painting is an abstracted representation of the death of John the Baptist. In order to fulfill a promise to his niece, Herod Antipas beheaded John the Baptist and delivered the head to Salome on a plate. This painting depicts Salome waiting for the head. The paint used is a premium acrylic on a stretched .75" thick canvas with hardware included for hanging.

Where it's been: Exhibition at the Faculty Club, University of Toronto, May 2019.
